This includes: your IP address (truncated before storage by Google Analytics), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, links clicked, scroll depth, and general geographic location derived from your IP address.

2.3 Information from Third-Party Platforms

If you interact with our content on third-party platforms such as social media sites, we may receive limited information from those platforms in accordance with their terms and your privacy settings.

4.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to analyze how visitors use our Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in anonymized form. The information generated by cookies about your use of our Site is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may use this data to evaluate your use of the Site, compile reports on Site activity, and provide other services related to Site activity and internet usage.

For more information about how Google uses data collected through our Site, visit Google’s Privacy & Terms page.

You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4.2 Google Advertising Features

If we enable Google Analytics Advertising Features such as remarketing, demographics reporting, or interest reporting, additional data about your browsing activity may be collected by Google for advertising purposes. This may include data from Google’s advertising cookies and anonymous identifiers.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings.

4.3 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel), a tracking technology provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta platforms, deliver targeted advertisements, and build custom audiences for future advertising. The Meta Pixel collects data about your browsing activity on our Site, including pages visited, actions taken, and device information. This data is transmitted to Meta and may be used by Meta in accordance with its data use policies.

For information about how Meta uses this data, see the Meta Privacy Policy.

4.4 Session Recording and Heatmap Tools

We may use session recording and heatmap tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our Site. These tools may record mouse movements, clicks, scroll behavior, and page interactions. Sensitive input fields such as passwords and payment information are automatically masked and not recorded. These tools do not collect personal information unless you voluntarily enter it into a visible form field. Session recordings are used solely to improve our Site’s usability and user experience.

4.5 Call Tracking

We use call tracking technology that displays dynamically generated phone numbers on our Site to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. When you call a tracked number, we collect the phone number from which you called, call date, time, duration, and general caller location. Calls may be recorded for quality assurance purposes. Florida law requires all-party consent for call recording. If a call is recorded, you will hear an automated message at the beginning of the call notifying you that the call may be recorded. By remaining on the line after hearing this notification, you consent to the recording. Call recordings are retained for up to 25 months and are accessible only to authorized personnel.

4.6 Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through browser settings. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is being placed. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of our Site. Specific opt-out mechanisms for third-party advertising cookies are described in this section and in Section 9 below.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, lease, or trade your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

We may share your information with the following categories of recipients and for the following purposes:

Service Providers. We share information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf, including website hosting providers, email marketing platforms, analytics providers (Google, Meta, Hotjar, Microsoft), call tracking providers, customer relationship management tools, and payment processors. These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.

Advertising Partners. When you visit our Site, certain information (such as device identifiers, browsing data, and cookie data) may be shared with advertising platforms including Google and Meta through pixels and cookies installed on our Site. This sharing enables us to measure advertising effectiveness and deliver relevant advertisements. Under certain state privacy laws, this activity may be classified as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, even though we do not receive payment for this data. See Section 9 for opt-out information.

Legal Obligations. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Business Transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specific retention periods include: contact form submissions and email communications are retained for the duration of any business relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter; Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months; call recordings are retained for up to 25 months; cookie data retention varies by cookie as described in the table in Section 4; and email marketing subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe, after which we retain only the record of your unsubscribe request for compliance purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These measures include encrypted data transmission via SSL/TLS, access controls limiting information access to authorized personnel, regular security assessments of our systems and vendors, and secure hosting infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Healthcare Client Services

Search Quest provides digital marketing services to healthcare organizations among other clients. This Privacy Policy governs only the information collected through our own Site, searchquest.ai. It does not apply to websites we build, host, or manage for healthcare clients or any other clients.

When we are engaged by healthcare organizations that are covered entities or business associates under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), our data handling obligations for those engagements are governed by separate written Business Associate Agreements, not by this Privacy Policy.

Our Site does not collect Protected Health Information as defined under HIPAA. Information submitted by healthcare professionals inquiring about our services is treated as standard business contact information. This Privacy Policy is not a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, and Search Quest is not a covered entity under HIPAA.

Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals, as there is no industry-standard technology for recognizing or honoring such signals.

We do recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. When our systems detect a GPC signal from your browser, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This means that when a GPC signal is detected, advertising and tracking cookies that share data with third parties for advertising purposes will be suppressed. Strictly necessary cookies and first-party analytics cookies remain active. If you wish to enable GPC, you may do so through a supporting browser or browser extension. More information is available at globalprivacycontrol.org.

Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the information in Section 13.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or platforms that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit. A link to a third-party site does not constitute an endorsement by Search Quest.
